Embrace Your Radiance With The Summer Solstice
It’s summer in Dallas, which means it is HOT. As I write this blog, it is currently 103, with a heat index of 118. Phew! It’s HOT! It’s also the Summer Solstice, which I love. Growing up, Summer was my favorite season. I loved soaking up the sun’s warmth and spending my days in the water.
Today I’ve been keenly aware of how I can be immersed in the vibrant energy of the Summer Solstice. Just as the Spring Equinox heralded a time of new beginnings and growth, the Summer Solstice invites us to bask in the fullness of life and celebrate the abundance that surrounds us – something that is fully present in my life at the moment. It is a season of expansion, illumination, and embracing the radiant energy that resides within and around us.
At The Heart Of The Summer Solstice Lies Inner Light
The Summer Solstice, also known as Litha, is a celebration of the longest day of the year and the height of the sun’s power (and our personal power). It symbolizes the triumph of light over darkness, reminding us of the infinite potential that lies within each of us. At the heart of the Summer Solstice lies our own inner light, a brilliance that shines brightly and calls us to express ourselves fully. It is a time to honor the Divine Masculine energy (beautifully timing after our recent Father’s Day celebration), which represents strength, action, and the power to manifest our desires.
During this season, I am embracing my own inner light and celebrating the abundance and growth in my life (more on that to come in my next blog). The Summer Solstice is a time of vitality and inspiration, reminding me of the importance of embracing my passions and pursuing my dreams with enthusiasm. My life has changed dramatically in the past year; this season of reflection truly feels like a dream.

Ignite The Inner Flame And Embrace Expansion
To ignite my inner flame and embrace the expansive energy of the Summer Solstice, I take time to reflect on my aspirations and desires. I embrace the fullness of life and allow myself to be inspired by the world around me. The long days and warm nights provide the perfect backdrop for exploring new possibilities, engaging in creative pursuits, and nurturing relationships.
Honoring The Abundant Energy Of The Summer Solstice
One way I honor the season and connect with its energy is by creating a ritual that aligns with my intentions. I find a quiet space where I can fully immerse myself in the moment. I light candles that evoke the warmth and radiance of the sun, take deep breaths, and visualize the sun’s golden light infusing my entire being, filling me with energy, confidence, and a sense of purpose.
Next, I share gratitude for the abundance in my life, recognizing the blessings that have come my way. I consider the growth and achievements I’ve experienced thus far and express gratitude for the opportunities that lie ahead. It really has been a beautiful and expansive year in so many ways.
Finally, I set intentions for the season, envisioning the goals and dreams I wish to manifest. I visualize myself stepping into my fullest potential, embracing the opportunities that come my way, and radiating my unique brilliance. I write down my intentions, infusing them with the energy of the Summer Solstice, and place them in a sacred space (my beloved journal) where I can revisit them throughout the season.
It’s important to remember that the Divine Masculine energy is empowering me (empowering us) to take action and manifest my dreams. By honoring this energy and embracing the radiant possibilities of the season, I can create a life that is filled with purpose, abundance, and joy.

Summer Solstice Ritual
To celebrate the Summer Solstice, I have created and shared a ritual that reflects the essence of this season. You can adapt it to suit your personal preferences and beliefs.
- Prepare Your Sacred Space. Find a serene location where you can connect with the energy of the Summer Solstice. Light candles, set up elements that evoke the warmth and radiance of the sun, and create an atmosphere that nurtures your soul.
- Bask In The Glow. Take a moment to soak in the sun’s energy. Visualize its golden light enveloping you, infusing you with vitality and inspiration. Feel its warmth permeate every cell of your being.
- Express Gratitude. Reflect on the abundance in your life. Consider the blessings, growth, and achievements you’ve experienced. Offer gratitude to the Divine Masculine for its guidance and support.
- Set Intentions. Envision the dreams and goals you wish to manifest. Write them down, infusing them with the energy of the Summer Solstice. Visualize yourself stepping into your fullest potential and radiating your unique brilliance.
- Close Your Ritual. Thank the Divine Masculine for its presence and guidance. Take a few moments to reflect on the energy of the Summer Solstice, allowing its essence to remain with you as you continue your journey.
Bonus – Spend time outside and with outdoor activities. The Summer Solstice is a perfect time to connect with nature and indulge in outdoor activities. Take a leisurely walk in a nearby park, have a picnic under the open sky, or simply sit in nature’s embrace and soak in the beauty around you. Allow the natural world to inspire you and infuse your spirit with joy and awe. This year, our family will spend time outdoors in beautiful Colorado.
