What does it mean to answer the call of your life?
Over the last few months, as I prepare to gather women this fall for The Gift Retreat with Shematrix, I have found myself returning to a question that refuses to leave me:
What does it mean to answer the call of your life?
It feels connected to our relationship with The Mother—to Gaia, to the Divine Feminine, to the Earth supporting us all, and to the Sacred Mother that lives within each of us.
In many conversations surrounding me, there is a longing for a different way of being in the world. A longing to remember the stories of our ancestors, our purpose and Dharma, remembrance of the medicine we carry, and the gifts we have come here to offer.
Sometimes, I wonder if what we are witnessing collectively is not an awakening into something new, but a remembering of something very old, ancient within us.
I find myself thinking a lot about the women who have carried quiet, dormant wisdom through generations. It feels as if the magical gifts that were once lost are now ready for rebirth. So many women and their gifts have been buried for generations upon generations, and now the seeds that lived in darkness are ready to take light.
A revival of the —
The healers.
The elders.
The shamans.
The matriarchs.
The humanitarians.
The lightworkers.
The grid shifters.
The firestarters.
The frequency movers.
And perhaps now, more than ever, the world is calling upon these women to step forward — a collective call of The Matriarch.
What if this is a moment to show up for The Mother and for the Land Custodians who continue to protect and honor the sacred places that sustain us? What if it’s a moment to ask ourselves what it means to be in harmony and relationship with the Earth, with one another, and with the deepest parts of ourselves.
If I’m honest, I am still in inquiry of it myself, and I certainly don’t have all the answers.
However, I do know that something within me continues to say yes and continues to answer the call of where I’m guided. Yes to gathering of humans to activate gifts. Yes to gathering in sacred circles. Yes to writing and sharing what comes through me.
It feels serving to offer the questions I have been sitting with myself:
- What wisdom is asking to be remembered?
- What gifts are asking to be shared?
- How can I contribute to the new world evolving around us?
- How am I caring for our children and future generations?
- Am I creating space for enthusiasm in my life?
My deepest wish is for as many humans as possible to live fully in their gifts and have the space and opportunity to do so.
I believe many of us are ready to answer the call (or have already answered the call) and embrace the wisdom that is emerging within us. I have hope that our collective humanity will rise to meet this moment. We are on a journey to heal some of the deepest wounds of humanity, and it will require patience, perseverance, honesty, and, most importantly, each of us answering the call.
If these words landed with you, I’d love to connect. Whether you’re curious about what it means to answer the call or to be in the sacred space of The Gift, I invite you to reach out. Sometimes the most transformational shifts and new ways of being in the world begin with a simple conversation.
With cosmic love,
Bonnie
